Documents administration, creation and management (Elaine DM)
Elaine Document Management (DM) is a solution for the management of digital documentation and allows for easy management of project based and corporate documents according to documentation related processes.
Its key features are:
- Effective search – quick, transparent and accurate search by various attributes or fulltext based
- Document structure – a document may consist of an arbitrary number of files, other documents and its parts
- Document classification – a document may be classified using user defined document attributes
- Document versions – all older document versions are saved and users can revert to them at anytime
- Workflow and status management – defines the sequences of work with documents; every document lifecycle and various states of this lifecycle, can be defined.
- Notification subsystem – issues notices e.g. time limits excess, status changes etc.
- Security – roles and access rights definition, with the option to authorize any activity in the system, optionally implementing the usage of security certificates or digital signatures
- Technology – a component based solution based on J2EE platform, independent of the operational system and the database system. The whole functionality is web accessible
